OCCS: Resources

Using photos of minors

For any CAES materials that contain an image featuring a person, it is necessary to get permission to use that photograph of them. In the case of minors, this permission should be from the parent or guardian in writing.

If an OCCS photographer is taking photos at an event/on location, he or she will be responsible for obtaining a completed minor child consent and release form or verifying that a photo release has been signed and is available upon request. The photographer will also keep any of these completed forms on file.

If a client of OCCS is providing photos for publication purposes, the client is responsible for obtaining a completed minor child consent and release form or verifying that a photo release has been signed and is available upon request. The client should keep any of these completed forms on file.
