OCCS can help you publish your videos to the UGA Extension or CAES YouTube channels and provide a link for you to share. Educational and instructional videos delivered online must have federally required captions, a text-transcript, and descriptive text — regardless of where they are published.
The Office of Communications and Creative Services can help produce captions and descriptive text at no cost for videos under 10 minutes with a client-provided transcript (see tips for transcription).
For grant-funded and longer videos, we can facilitate these services with an outside vendor and provide cost estimates. Regardless of length, we can help publish videos and supporting documents for you.
If your video file was recorded from a written script, you may use this as a starting point for producing your text transcript. Listen to the audio while reading the script and make any post-production corrections. Speakers may not follow a script with 100% accuracy, and content may have been deleted or combined in new ways during the editing phase.
