Sudangrass

SudangrassSudangrass is in the species Sorghum bicolor, formerly Sorghum sudanese (Hitchcock, 1971). It is a tall, coarse grass sensitive to frost. It can grow in dry conditions but does better when watered, as drought could induce dormant plants. It also tolerates high pH and can be used with barley to adjust akaline ground. It has alleopathic tendencies and does not quickly decompose.

Seed 30-40 lbs/A (48 lb/A). Late spring to early summer.
