MGEV Events Around the State


Each year, MGEVs conduct hundreds of workshops, garden tours, presentations, plant clinics, and other events to educate others about sustainable gardening and landscaping. Here are some of the upcoming signature events throughout the state.

Noontime Knowledge Classes - Clayton County

UGA Clayton County Extension invites you to attend Noontime Knowledge, a series of free classes on the 4th Thursday of the month. Each class will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in Jonesboro, Georgia at Clayton County International Park, 2300 Highway 138, VIP Building, second floor. Please RSVP by calling 770-473-5437. Gardening Classes - Athens-Clarke County

Athens-Clarke County Extension is pleased to announce the 2017 Gardening Class Schedule. These classes are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Athens-Clarke County Library Auditorium (2025 Baxter St. Athens, GA). The classes are free and open to gardeners of all experience levels. Pre-registration is required to attend. Some of the topics on this year's schedule include: invasive plants, composting, getting to know garden bugs, and much more.
