Extension Engineering

The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Cooperative Extension program is designed to deliver technical information to farmers and other citizens in order to improve efficiencies, protect natural resources, and improve the quality of life for citizens. It is called Cooperative Extension because it is a cooperative effort of federal, state, and local governments.

Cooperative Extension has gained a reputation as an unbiased source of information, and is seen by many as the best resource for technology transfer. This is due to involvement at all levels and because Cooperative Extension's information sources are the land-grant universities of the United States.

The Extension engineering program has for many years provided technical expertise in areas related to engineering in agriculture.
