NOTE:  On July 19, 2003 strong thunderstorms accompanied by high straight line winds caused considerable lodging of
plants at this experiment site.
1.  Yields calculated at 15.5% moisture.
2.  Grain quality rating:  1 = excellent to 5 = poor.
3.  Grain moisture at harvest.
4.  Leaf Rust rating:  1 = resistant to 5 = highly susceptible.
5.  Southern Corn Leaf Blight rating:  1 = resistant to 5 = highly susceptible.
6.  CV = 10.3%, and df for EMS = 54.
7.  The F-test indicated no statistical differences at the alpha = .10 probability level; therefore a LSD value was not
     calculated.
Bolding indicates entries yielding equal to highest yielding entry within a column based on Fisher's protected LSD
(P = 0.10).
Planted: April 21, 2003.
Harvested: August 27, 2003.
Seeding Rate: 31,000 seeds/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Tifton loam sand.
Soil Test: P = Medium, K = Medium, and pH = 6.1.
Fertilization: 130 lb N, 65 lb P2O5, and 93 lb K2O/acre as preplant; 122 lb N/acre as sidedress.
Previous Crop: Cotton.
Management: Chisel plowed, subsoiled and bedded, rototilled; Atrazine used for weed control; no irrigation water
applied.
