1.   IVDMD (in vitro dry matter disappearance) is an indicator of quality and is positively related to animal
      digestibility (higher values indicate higher digestibility). Samples used for IVDMD determination were
      collected for all entries of a replicated trial at the same state of reproductive development (soft dough).
2.   CV = 13.1% and df for EMS = 39.
3.   The F-test indicated no statistical differences at the alpha = 0.1 probability level; therefore, an LSD value
      was not calculated.
Bolding indicates entries yielding equal to highest yielding entry within a column based on Fisher's
protected LSD (P = 0.10).
Planted: April 21, 1998.
Harvested: August 3, 1998.
Seeding Rate: 100,000 seed/acre in 30" rows.
Soil Type: Tifton loamy sand.
Soil Test: P = High, K = Medium, pH = 6.0.
Fertilization: Preplant:  30 lb N, 60 lb P2O5, and 90 lb K2O/acre.
Sidedress:  93 lb N and 16 lb S/acre.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Chisel plowed and rototilled; Atrazine and two cultivations used for weed control.

  Sorghum hybrids for silage at this location were planted on May 25, 1998 and replanted on June 19, 1998.  Adequate stands were not obtained from either planting date, therefore no data will be available for the 1998 growing season.
