Fertilization: Preplant: 20 lb N, 40 lb P2O5, and 60 lb K2O/acre. Sidedress: 93 lb N and 16 lb S/acre.
Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Chisel plowed and rototilled; Atrazine and two cultivations used for weed control; Diaznon, Lannate and Lorsban used for insect control.

Grain Sorghum Hybrid Performance, 1998, Nonirrigated

 
Grain sorghum hybrid performance trials were conducted at this location during the 1998 growing season. However, drought and stand loss caused considerable variation in performance among plots within the tests. After careful analysis and review of the data, it is the opinion of the editors that the results of these trials may not accurately reflect the performance potential of all test entries. Since this data could potentially be misleading if used in making decisions concerning hybrid selection, we have chosen not to present them at this time. Results from these tests will be provided upon request.

Previous Crop: Soybean.
Management: Moldboard plowed and rototilled; cultivated twice for weed control.
