Southeast Hay Convention - 2011

Southeast Hay ConventionThe 4th Annual Southeast Hay Convention (formerly known as the Hay Production School) is planned for March 29-30, 2011 at the main office of the Georgia Farm Bureau in Macon, GA. This event follows on the resounding success of our previous programs. Here is a link to the current AGENDA. More information is below.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registration for the Southeast Hay Convention ends Friday, March, 25, 2011.

Registration and Accomodations

Registration for the Southeast Hay Convention is $125 for the first person from a family or farm. Additional persons from the same family or farm are $50. Included in your registration fee is a 500+ pg. Southeast Hay Convention notebook, a weed ID book, two lunches, refreshments, and other resources. We will accept registrations on a first come, first serve basis. We expect demand to be high for this program. Unfortunately, because of space limitations, we will only be able to accommodate 100 people. It is quite likely that we will run out of room, so we highly recommend registering early.

Registration for the Southeast Hay Convention is now open. You can register by clicking here to register online (by credit card). Alternatively, you can download the registration form, fill it out, and mail it in with payment.

We do not have a specific hotel recommendation. There are a number of hotels near the Georgia Farm Bureau's main office in Macon (Bass Rd., near Exit 172 on I-75). Prices for these hotels generally are $50-90 per night. Here is a link that will help you find a hotel near site of the convention. There are a number of nice restaurants near these hotels, too.

Program Details

The 2011 Southeast Hay Convention will be valuable to serious hay producers who seek to learn more about modern hay-making techniques. This program is dedicated to those who are serious about commercial hay production and those who would like a thorough, "A to Z coverage" of the subject. We pride ourselves in the fact that this training is unique in the Southeast, as it is essentially the only program of its kind.
